Screed is an important part of a huge range of construction projects. It is a layer that can be installed down to 12mm thickness which is poured to level concrete, timber or steel deck floors. Screed is used as something of a barrier in some environments, and as a standalone finish in others. At EasyMix, we’re always looking to harness the innovations of the construction industry for our customers, and liquid screed is one of the newest additions to our range of products.
Liquid screed pours quickly and consistently, flowing into place and level very easily without compromising on the strength and durability that you expect from other screed mixes. Liquid flow screed is ideal for underfloor heating setups, as it can flow between and around the pipes, eliminating any issues with joins and gaps. Delivered and poured by our expert team, you can be absolutely sure that your liquid screed is used to perfection – no matter how much you need or when you need it. To calculate how much screed you will need for your project, take a look at our screed calculator.
Gyvlon liquid screed
Here at EasyMix Concrete, we’re always looking to upgrade our services to ensure our customers receive the highest quality of service, which is why we now use Gyvlon liquid screed, a market leader in the UK & Europe.
Gyvlon has a screed system which has a thermal conductivity which is at least twice that of standard sand and cement screed providing up to 17% more energy efficiency for the heating system. It also means that underfloor heating systems will heat up and cool down far more quickly, which is perfect for those cold winter nights.
The “Green” screed
In the last 5 years Anhydritec Gyvlon has saved 1,344,000 kgs of C02 from being pumped into the UK atmosphere. By using calcium sulphate and not cement to make floor screeds, the volume supplied by Gyvlon in the UK was sufficient to install 9.6 million m2. (equivalent to 1,344,538 football pitches). Help reduce C02 emissions and use Gyvlon® (calcium sulphate based) screeds for floors.
