In 2006 we purchased our first operating yard, which signalled the start of us stocking our own materials for our concrete mixes. Due to the large amount of shrubbery, weeds and greenery on the yard after years of not being used, three months of work was required to get the yard ready. It became the base of EasyMix Concrete UK Ltd.
After 5 years of consistent growth for EasyMix, we purchased our first groundline pump in March of 2013, and then a second pump in November. This allowed us to offer a new service to our customers, and we focused on growing our groundline pump fleet in the next year, increasing the scope of our available services.
EasyMix was growing in stature, and as such our staffing needs were increasing. We opened our first office space in 2014, providing a place for our four dedicated office staff to work. With more people on the other end of the phone, our service was improved, which in turn helped to further boost the company’s performance.
As we continued to grow, we soon found ourselves needing even more space. Our current site in Beddington was purchased, providing us with ample room for our fleet of vehicles and all our equipment. The buildings on site were demolished to make way for material bays, washout bays and pits, as well as a site canteen and new office space for our staff. The job was done using our own concrete.
In 2019, we’ll be adding a batching plant to our Beddington Lane premises, and we’ll be taking delivery of 4 drum mixers to accommodate for the demand for BSI-approved concrete. It’s a return for the drum mixers since their retirement 12 years ago!
