When approached by Spun Gold TV to provide concrete for ITV’s Love Your Garden, the EasyMix team were delighted to help.
First broadcast in 2011, Love Your Garden is now back and better than ever. Rather than visiting themed gardens, this series of the show focuses on garden makeovers for those who deserve them most (and a healthy dose of evergreen gardening tips, of course). In our minds, the new direction is just fantastic.
The particular episode that we were involved in saw Alan Titchmarsh and his team transform Age UK’s community garden in Thornton Heath, not far away from our base of operations in Croydon. Age UK is a great charity, fully committed to bettering the health and wellbeing of elderly people across the country, so we were excited to be a part of such an impactful community project.
Although worse for wear to start with, the garden underwent a miraculous transformation, and now serves as the perfect spot for events for the wider community, or just simply as a relaxation spot for the hard-working Age UK staff.
In terms of the project itself, EasyMix provided concrete for the base of the summer house, a focal point of the new garden and a fantastic addition to the space. Long may it stand!
